Transit police are asking the public to help identify a man who approached several women on the SkyTrain and allegedly exposed himself to a female passenger.

Police say the woman was seated in a nearly empty SkyTrain at around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 when she saw a man sitting across from her staring at her with his genitals exposed while masturbating.

The woman moved to another part of the train.

Based on video footage, investigators determined the man initially boarded the SkyTrain at Coquitlam Central Station at 8:50 p.m. Up until he left the transit system more than two hours later, he was seen on the Millennium Line and Expo Line west of Commercial-Broadway, approaching multiple women, which police said indicated a "predatory nature to his actions."

The man exited the transit system at Stadium SkyTrain Station at 11:20 p.m.

On Thursday, transit police released a photo of the suspect taken that day. He is described as Caucasian in his 20's, with dark blonde/light brown hair, light stubble, and a slender build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light brown T-shirt, shorts and carrying a blue backpack and longboard.

Police believe there may be other victims who have not spoken to police.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Metro Vancouver Transit Police tip line at 604-516-7419 and refer to file # 2021-15475.Police seek help identifying alleged sexual offender on SkyTrain
