An Odessa man has been formally charged with felonies following a reported incident on Monday, September 6.
According to the Odessa Police Department, personnel received a report from family members of two different child victims of alleged sexual abuse and sodomy. Facts and evidence obtained showed during the evening and overnight hours of Sunday, September 5, and Monday, the two victims were provided alcoholic drinks, forced to watch pornography and subjected to sexual acts of sodomy by the suspect.
During an interview, the suspect allegedly confessed to authorities.
According to court documents, Robert Lloyd Triplet is charged with two counts of a felony for statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy- deviate sexual intercourse; and a misdemeanor for supplying liquor to a minor. Police department officials say Triplet is being held on a no-bond warrant.
Triplet's initial hearing is pending at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
